President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, Presidential daughter Mayor Inday Sara Duterte and other members of the government were warmly welcomed by the Israeli officials in their arrival at the Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv around 1:32 a.m.
The President is in Israel for a four-day historic visit, he’s the first Filipino President to visit the Holy Land.

The President headed straight to the Ramada Hotel in Jerusalem to meet around 1,400 Overseas Filipino Workers.

Nathaniel Imperial, Ambassador of the Philippines to the State of Israel, said the visit “is extremely important”.
“We consider this visit extremely important. We consider it a historic visit and we hope to transform this historic relationship and this enduring friendship into a more vibrant and stronger partnership,” Imperial said.
After his four day visit in Israel, the President will go to Jordan for another three-day official visit.
