Pormal na nagsampa ng reklamong sexual harassment at libel (ngayong araw) si ABS-CBN anchor and reporter Gretchen Fullido laban sa mga executive ng nasabing media company.
Inireklamo ni Fullido sa Quezon City Prosecutor’ Office sina Cheryl C. Favila, former ABS-CBN News Executive at Maricar P. Asprec, ABS-CBN News Segment Producer dahil sa sexual harassment.
Ayon sa bahagi ng pahayag na lumabas:
“Fullido alleged that Favila and Asprec sent her text messages that were loaded with sexual innuendos, which amounted to requests for sexual favors.”
“She further stated that when she rejected the advances, the two retaliated and made it difficult for her to work as a reporter and news anchor for TV Patrol.”
Kasong libel naman ang sinampa ni Fullido laban sa mga news executive ng ABS-CBN na sina Cecilia Drilon at Venancio Borromeo, at news reporter Marie Lozano.
“Fullido in her Complaint Affidavit also said Drilon resorted to victim shaming and imputed statements that Fullido deserved to be harassed, since Fullido allegedly, was willing to wear a bikini with an inflatable pool with bubbles to shove up the ratings of TV Patrol, a leading daily news program.”
Noong July 16, 2018 naglabas ng desisyon ang ABS-CBN management na pag-dismiss sa kaso laban kay Favila ngunit liable sa gross misconduct na nagresulta sa kanyang dismissal sa company.
Si Fulido ay regular na empleyado ng ABS CBN bilang ‘news anchor and reporter’, siya rin ang kauna-unahang Filipino news celebrity na nagsalita laban sa nasabing sexual harassment sa industriya ng pamamahag.
