In the past, we've had our own share of celebrities making their way in the political scene. A lot of people pour out their disappointments to these celebrities, but to be honest, some of them do find their calling in the politics and some even are able to help people more than those who have been in politics for a long time.
One of these is Senator Manny Pacquiao, who was on the end of the protests and negative bashing before, but proved to be one of the few politicians who really stood their ground with the truth.
When asked about his opinion about Asec. of PCOO Mocha Uson's plan to run for senator in 2019, Pacquiao admitted that he more than once thought of resigning from his post because of how he is dismayed with the politicians and the politics in the Philippines as a whole.
He admitted that he discovered a lot of things when he entered politics. He said that it's hard to distinguish the truth from the lies and a lot of politicians are two-faced.
Asked when he still wants to run when his post ends on 2022, the senator said that resignation did indeed cross his mind. But when he thought about the people and the country, he knew he had to stay.
When he was asked to elaborate about the reasons of his disappointment, Pacquiao said that he was disappointed with his colleagues that are destabilizing the government.
Hands up to you senator for sticking with the truth and staying for the sake of our country. The senator also added that he is easily angered by these kind of politicians, but he doesn't want to say bad words.
