There comes a certain point in a young parent’s life where they accept that at some point, they will leave their children behind. That’s why watching your children go to heaven before you do is the most painful thing any parent can experience. This is the sad reality which faces the mother of Nick and Niel Ong, who both died in a shooting incident last January 27. In the latest Facebook post of their bereaved mother, Mrs. Ong is seeking for justice for the Ong brothers.
After two months since the incident, Mrs. Ong admitted that she still in disbelief because of what happened to her beloved children. She lamented how slow justice was for her sons, and how disappointed she felt towards the government agencies who tend to shrug their shoulders in solving the case.
According to the report of Sunstar Cebu, the two seafaring Ong brothers were in a cafe and bar located in Punta Princesa in Cebu City when they were shot by an unidentified gunman.
Based on the testimonies that were given by the witnesses, the primary motive of the gunman was the elder brother, however after he shot Niel at the left side of the head, Nick ran after the gunman which caused him to be shot as well.
