Pilipinas a Shame Under Aquino, Rising Star under Duterte —lionhearted Filipina.

A netizen on Facebook said that she looks at the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte as a good thing that happened for the Philippines, after the failure of two Aquino administrations.

Maria Bratikova said that during the time of Aquino, the country was the "Shame of Asia", but now under Duterte, the country is the "Rising Star of Asia".

Bratikova said that she once was ashamed of being Pinoy.

"It was during akino-the-mother's time that the Filipina entered the english dictionary as synonymous to maid, househelp, servant. I cried bitter buckets over that. It was during akino-the-son's time that 'inutile' entered the consciousness of non-Filipinos as defining the Philippines a banana government," she said.

Bratikova said that now, thirty years after the time of the Aquinos and the control of corrupt catholic priests, the country is now the "Rising Star of Asia".

"Let's not go back there. The chance to reverse this crippling lethargy fell on our laps like an over-riped kaki when President Duterte changed his mind at that witching hour to decide to run for the office. And bagged it. Let us not squander the jackpot handed over to us," she said.

She said that before, she would visit countries, but would refuse to visit her's because of the country's image.

That has changed bigly. I' d been away more than half of my real time line! It's only now that i can smell, i can touch, i can feel the changes that's making my country make non-Filipinos oohh! and aah! in speechless admiration. In barely two years, a magic took place in our midst that's registering in everybody else's radar. We are moving with a bulllet-train-speed out of the schackles of a limiting third-world blah!" she said.

"I  am now a proud Filipino. I wear it all over me. I love coming home. Thank you, President Duterte, for happening in our lives. The rest who want to derail our progress can go bang. Or drop dead. I do not give a truck!" she added.

Duterte after winning the May 2016 elections, replaced former President Benigno Aquino, son of late President Corazon Aquino, ending the 30-year domination of the Liberal Party.
