Yesterday, a video of a little boy ‘Jomel Montes’, with Leukemia spread like wildfire on social media. It was said in the post that the father of the boy makes a living by selling coconuts, which, we all know will not be enough for Jomel's medication.
The family is grateful for the overwhelming support that the netizens are giving them.
Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Bong Go saw the post and immediately dispatched help for the boy.
Wee hours of the morning, the boy was immediately transferred to Vicente Sotto Memorial Center from Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital (GCGMH) Tagbilaran City, Bohol with the help of Doctor Merio Rey B. Biboso and his team from the Tagbilaran City DRRM Office.
Update: Jomel is now in a recovery room. With the help of the Malasakit Center, they won't have to worry about the bills anymore.
The Office of the Presidential Assistant for Visayas is monitoring the situation of the family. They are continually asking for prayers so the little boy will get better and head on his way to full recovery.
