Yesterday, a woman became trending online for verbally and physically assaulting an elderly cab driver for overtaking. A netizen named was able to identify the woman who was caught on camera. Not only did he name drop her name on his status, he also called out to her employer. Another road rage incident went down yesterday after an angry woman made a ruckus in broad daylight, confronting an elderly cab driver for overtaking. Thanks to a concerned netizen who was able to record the incident, she was witnessed verbally and physically assaulting the driver. At one point, she even slapped the old man, who consequently got out of his car because he thought he’s going to have a heart attack.
The video was put up on Facebook by a certain Joshua Baluyot and has now reached over 200,000 netizens as of writing. While it garnered mixed reactions, nearly all the comments were furious towards the woman for her uncalled-for behavior towards the elderly cab driver. Seeking justice for the taxi operator, many took it upon themselves to scour the internet to find the woman. A social media user named Kirk Barbosa was successful in doing so after he put up a Facebook post in which he not only named her, but also called out to her employer, VXI PH. Meanwhile, VXI PH released a statement online in regards to the incident involving their employee. They said that they were aware of the altercation, but opted to stay out of it because it “was on personal time” of the employee. They wrote:
“VXI Global Holdings B.V. is aware of the recent altercation involving a VXI employee and a taxi driver after photos, videos, and other postings about the incident circulated on social media.
“However, the incident occurred when the employee was on personal time and was not doing any work for VXI. We leave it to the appropriate authorities to handle the case.
“While VXI is not in any way connected with the incident, VXI does not condone misconduct and any inappropriate behavior by any of its employees.”
