Sa isang pagtitipon, binanatan ni Cebu Mayor Tomas Osmeña si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na takot daw sa China kaya patuloy na duma-dating ang droga sa bansa. Si Osmeña ay iniuugnay ng Department of Justice sa isang drug lord.
"If you ask me, from where I stand, it’s from China. It’s certainly not from America, not from Japan, possibly Taiwan. Even in the laboratories in Manila, they’re all made in China. I wonder what the government will do about this... The president has done so much.
The question is why is he seems to be afraid to move against China. The issue might be addressed by having all those containers (thousands of containers from China) to make them go to Singapore," sabi ni Osmeña
Ayon kay Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre, may hawak na silang witness laban kay Osmeña at nakagawa na raw ito ng affidavit. Ang saksi na ito ay si Reynaldo Diaz alias “Jumbo” na pinsan ng namatay na drug lord na si Jeffrey Diaz alias “Jaguar”.
"We have an affidavit and a witness under the WPP (witness protection program) who is saying that he (Osmeña) is in the payroll of drug lords," sabi ng DOJ
