After Senator Manny Pacquiao won against Lucas Matthysse yesterday in Malaysia and praised President Rodrigo Duterte in the post-fight interview that watched by millions of fans around the world, Veteran journalist Jay Sonza couldn’t imagine how the mainstream media which allegedly critical to the present admin would twist the shout out of Pacman.

Sonza also mentioned Ms. Dyan Castellejo who interviewed Pacquiao after the match, saying that the reporter cannot even mention the name of her own President. He believes that Castellejo, showed her bias when she allegedly disowned the President during the said interview.

Castellejo receives criticisms after her “Your President,” remark while asking Pacquiao about his message to Duterte who’s also watching the match together with Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Bin Mohamad.

DUTERTE AND PRIME MINISTER MAHATIR MOHAMMAD AT POST FIGHT STATEMENT NG BAGONG WORLD BOXING CHAMPION - " Sa mga Pilipino, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is very good president. Thank you Pres. Duterte for being our president. I am excited to go back home, celebrate and go back to work as public servant. Thank you Prime Minister Mahatir and the Malaysian government."

This was the problem of Ms. Dyan Castellejo during the post fight ringside interview. Ni hindi niya mabanggit ang pangalan ng mismong presidente ng bansang kanyang sinilangan. Hindi lang minsan, dalawang beses. She was good and very professional in the Pay-Per-View live coverage until the unfortunate interview with Pacman when her bias got the better of her. SAYANG KA DYAN.

  1. The interview was very sponataneous. I am certain that Dyan had no intention of disowning Pres.Duterte. I can't really understand why several people would put color into this unless he wants to fan the flames of disunity among the Filipinos.

    2. You know she is a filipina (Dyan), she must address "Our President" not "Your President". That is really an obvious act of disrespect and bias in reporting like interview. She must mention the name of our president. No matter what you are focused to Manny's interview, still the respect comes first to your mind and say something a generous and kind way of speaking especially in the public.

    3. Hindi naman siguro tanga ang mga nakakita ng interview that they will misinterpret what she means and really feels ano? Wag mo nang pagtakpan. She was candid and transparent on what side she really represents!
