Napabilang ang Pilipinas sa listahan ng premyadong destinasyon sa Asya. Ayon sa Forbes Magazine, pasok ang ating bansa sa top 5 tourist spots. Inihanay din ang Pilipinas sa mga bansang Japan, South Korea, Malaysia at Indonesia bilang mga bansang may maunlad na turismo. Ang balitang ito ay ikinatuwa ng Department of Tourism (DOT).
Ikinagagalak din ipaalam ng DOT ang paglago ng turismo ng Pilipinas.
