Noong nakaraang araw ay naging laman sa mga TV Station at social media ang binigkas na salita ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na “Your concern is human rights. Mine is human lives”.

Maraming Netizens ang hindi alam kung ano nga ba ang pinagkaiba ng ‘Human lives’ sa ‘Human rights’. Maraming matataas na pulitiko ang nag-react sa pahayag ng pangulo kabilang na rito si VP Leni Robredo.

“We all know that even the most casual student of human rights will recognize this statement for what it is: a false and misleading dichotomy. It is apparent to anyone who wishes to see clearly, that the right to life is one of the most basic human rights. We fight for human rights precisely because we value human lives,” reaksyon ni VP Robredo sa pahayag ni pangulong Duterte.
Maliban kay Robredo, marami pang matataas na kilalang personalidad, mapa-showbiz man o mapa-pulitiko ang di sumang-ayon sa sinabi ng pangulo. Subalit binigyan na ito ng linaw ngayon ni Senador Panfilo Lacson.
“When PRRD said he thinks of human lives more than human rights, I also thought the same in my previous life. When we were rescuing kidnap victims, it was human lives first and foremost. A poor second was the kidnappers’ human rights.” sabi ni Lacson sa kanyang Twitter post.
