Almost a week ago, netizens witnessed a road rage between traffic authorities and civilian which footage immediately went viral on social media.

Based on the CCTV footage, several Makati City traffic enforcers could be seen flagging down a black Mercedes Benz which came from Magallanes Village and turned right at EDSA southbound even if the traffic signal is on a red light. The couple who was late on identified as Arnold Padilla and Glocel Razon immediately went down from their vehicle and protest against the enforcers. But things escalated quickly when the couple’s bodyguards also went down and hit the enforcers until they backed away.

The viral video ignited the curiosity of netizens on the identity of the couple and why they are so confident to attack people with the help of their bodyguards.

Netizens initially discovered that Padilla is a businessman, who has been tagged as a “hard-headed” resident of Barangay Magallanes.

They also found out that the man has a pending theft case back in 2015 and frustrated slay case that allegedly ended the life of his sister Yvonne Geraldine Padilla-Chua back in 2010.

But Social media blogger Mike Acebedo Lopez has some juicy details to reveal linking Padilla to one of some influential political family.

In a Facebook post, Lopez revealed that Padilla is the grandson of former Senator Ambrosio Padilla who was also appointed by former President Corazon Aquino as the vice chairman of the historic Constitutional Commission which drafted the 1987 Constitution.

On top of that, He also revealed that Padilla is also a nephew of former Philippine Health Insurance Corp (PhilHealth) President and CEO Alex Padilla who was linked to the controversial P10-billion senior citizen fund anomaly in the agency.

This man, who I’m sure you recognize by now, apart from being accused as the mastermind of his own sister’s murder (believe it or not, this man’s father was accused of the same thing—masterminding the murder of a sister), is the grandson of Ambrosio Padilla, a Cory Aquino appointee, and a nephew of Alex Padilla, a Noynoy Aquino appointee to PhilHealth, who is embroiled in the 10 billion peso senior citizens fund scam,” Lopez stated.

Because of this, Netizens conclude that due to Padilla’s strong political connections, he is not afraid to intimidate or attack authorities like enforcers.
