Many netizens on social media were amazed on how Marikina City handled their evacuees during after Tropical storm ‘Karding’ struck their place.
Based on the report, the Marikina river reached the critical level which prompted the City Government of Marikina to forcefully evacuate their citizen and according to the Eastern Police district, there are already 4,829 families and 23,433 individuals in 26 evacuation centers.
But unlike the other places in the Philippines, Marikina City showed that they’re different during disastrous events.

In the photos circulating on the internet, it showed that Marikina City used foldable partitions as temporary shelters for their citizens.
Netizens also praised the LGU of Marikina because the facilities for the evacuees didn’t include any names of their politicians.
