Arestado ang isang Mayor na isa sa ‘Top 3 Drug Lord’ sa lalawigan ng Basilan na si Jamar Abdula Mansul. Si Mansul ay alkalde ng munisipyo ng Hadji Muhtamad.
Kinumpirma ni Western Mindanao Police Chief Senior Superintendent Fergen Torred ang pagkaka-aresto kay Mansul sa NAIA Terminal 1. Nangyari ang pag-aresto noong Lunes, bandang ala-6:40 ng umaga habang pasakay na si Mansul ng eroplano papuntang Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
“I received the confirmation from the Department of National Defense (DND) stating that Mansul was apprehended by personnel of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) at the NAIA Terminal 1 on Monday morning,” sabi ni Torred.
Si Mansul ay kasama sa drug list ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at kasama sa mga high-value target ng kapulisan.
