Matapos makitaan ng mga paglabag sa general labor laws and standards ang restaurant chain na Burger King (Perf Restaurants, Inc.), ipinag-utos ng Malacañang sa pamamagitan ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) na gawing regular ang mga trabahante nito. Base sa pagsisiyasat ng labor law compliance officers, napag-alaman ng ang restaurant at ang 5 contractors nito ay nagsasagawa ng labor-only contracting activities.
The principal and contactors were found to be non-compliant with the Occupational Safety and Health Standards for lacking trained safety personnel and a certified first aider... Burger King and its contractors were also directed to immediately issue appointment letters and payroll reflecting the entitlements of the affected workers as regular employees, ayon sa ulat ng PNA.
